Glad you had a good time mate.

Im about 25 miles from glasto, so not always exactly the same weather.

PS

Might go myself next year, other than sneaking in through the fence years ago (you'd never manage that one now I suspect!) ive never actually been to the event properly.

Thanks Chip, there was a thunderstorm on the friday night I think but it never got that close, for a moment though I thought that was going to be the turning point lol

You should definitely come next year, infact I'd advise anyone to go once, its totally mad and it does cater for everyone.

Paying is the only way to get in these days now though, I hear the fence is cemented in so you cant even dig under it !

Listen to music, take drugs, have sex.

Some of that he may want to wait a while, but Jonboy didnt say WHEN it caters for everyone, merely that it does at some point in their life ;)

Circus and general kids entertainers would qualify for something for children to see.

The Circus acts were actually quite good and getting all the kids involved (obviously slightly older than Jago but he would still enjoy it)

I've never been to a festival where there are SO many kids though, its kind of weird !

As I said it does cater for everyone although ideally if your going to take a kid you want them to know what is it they are at or its a very expensive few days away that maybe you would feel is better spent elsewhere ? depends how flush your feeling really, if you could afford to go to it and somewhere else in one year I'd definitely be going regardless of Jagos age

I'm still blown away by the whole thing totally, I'm not sure I will look at the rest of the festivals I have to do this year in the same way as their nothing like as laid back and have anything like as many things to do.

Listening to music, taking drugs and having sex is something you can do at ANY festival, walking around what seems like a area out of Star Wars vs Blade Runner then into somewhere like some industrial city from the future is more like something I'd expect to find in a club in Ibiza, not at a festival on a HUGE scale.

Massive respect to the organizers of it really as it is simply a incredible experience wherever you go.

Why not camp Al ? you do at totb and pv ? the toilets and general layout is FAR better than any car event.

You can take a caravan or motorhome but you camp off site and tbh I enjoy being around the proper campers just for the random shit they come out with and the random people you sit down and get hammered with !

Chip, yes you can mate, you keep you photo id ticket and show it them on your way out and they give you a pass to get back in which is ideal for you as you live so close you can probably grab a shower quicker by going home than you could by sitting in the que lol

Personally its baby wipes all the way for me , sod the shower LOL

Bath in a can for the win!

PMSL

Jonboy, I would probably camp a night or two then go home and have a bath and a decent night's sleep then come back.

Yep, that, baby wipes, soap and a toothbrush and tootpaste are all you need at a festival ! You can even use the Lynx as breath freshener if your feeling hardcore (or just extremely drunk)

IF I lived local like you Chip I would definitely go and get a shower at home, not too sure I'd sleep there though as it makes you appreciate it more when the festival is finally over.

I'm not built for camping Sad

Gutted Al, its a great experience, I love a bit of hardcore camping but just not at pv for example when frankly if it rains its quite shit as there is next to fook all to do.

Stt, flash bastard, were you working there ?

Yes i was working, but not on the site!

I'm a paramedic and we were called there to a bloke having chest pain,
hence i drove right into the site,
on arrival the bloke was having a huge heart attack and was not far off being dead - from pilton to the nearest district hospital is about 35 mins by road, so we commandeered the police helicopter and they flew me and the patient to frenchay in about 9 mins!

My crewmate then had to drive the ambulance up to bristol to meet me at frenchay!

The kit in the back of the helicopter is definitely a boy racers worst nightmare and to be honest the space doesnt lend its self too well to being a paramedic.
On the plus side i had a great view of the pyramid stage as we circled around as we took off!
