just to add me 10 pence worth and this is just a thought but as the pictures are already taken(so most of the work already done) would it not be better to sell 100 pics at £1 each rather than 5 at £10 each ? :dunno:more so as DELETE is the only other option

So after having sold a load at 10 quid each to good customers, you repay them by flogging everyone else theres for a quid.
You'd get beaten to death at the next show

I suspect that your maths is a bit optimistic that you would see a 1900% increase in picture sales just by reducing the price, especially from such a finite customer base, and you would then have to employ extra staff to cope with the demand.
Ian isnt stupid and im sure he has priced the pictures at a point where he gets maximum revenue returned, or close to it at least.

yours is bit of a long winded reply as usual but as i said JUST A THOUGHT none of the figures were meant to be accurate it was aimed more at showing that lowering the price does not have to mean lowering the money made from sales, hope that makes it a bit more simple to understand

i never said or even suggested he was
finding the maximum price for the maximum customers i would think is the key and he is still up and running so he must be doing something right or just the only one doing it

Price of picture, versus profit made, will be a bell curve shape, and I suspect he is near the top of that graph already, Im positive a pound would put him lower down.

I read it perfectly well mate, im saying that I believe he has worked out what price gives him the best ROI already.
They are only 3 quid anyway if buying in bulk, so if people want them they only need to club together and order 1 CD to keep the cost down, and then he has low overheads sending them out too.
