Hi!
I'm selling my entire collection of shite in order to fund something else.
This is an 80's icon, a Mitsubishi Starion.
The body is in excellent condition, it's 20 years old, and the interior is like new. There's no visible wear in any of the seats or carpets.
The power delivery is typical 80's, there's nothing under 2,500 and then it all surges at once, and then there's loads of lag. It's 160lb's lighter than the widebody and does 0-60 in 6.6 seconds. It's very brutal when driven hard and will typically get hairy with the back end going all over the place. It's good to cruise around in. Expect shitty mpg unless you're really easy on the motorway.
It needs something sorting with the injectors - I've traced this down to the injector resistor which is located under the airbox. It doesn't mention this in the service manual, I found it out from someone on ebay.
I've just replaced the clutch release fork out of the gearbox (two day job), the AFM meter, filter box and air filter is new. It is fitted with wide body alloys, with new tyres on the back. I spent 1,500 on it last year, including loads of stuff from Mitsubishi (coolant temp sensor, gaskets, brake/clutch cylinders).
The car is totally standard and unmodified. These are now shooting up in price.
There is nothing wrong with it for the MOT, it'll pass no problems.
It comes with a spare, working 4G63 engine complete with turbo, manifold, etc. and a load of spares.

Think that's the Irish plate. A couple of people have been put off by that, if you phone and just give them the car details, it'll be lower. It certainly shouldn't be 2,500, unless you're 21 or something? |
